We’re excited to announce the biennial 9th Singapore Performers’ Festival 2026 taking place during the June school holidays. Mark your calendar and be ready for an immersive celebration of music-making and performance excellence.

🎹🎻 Calling all Pianists and String Players!

If you love music and have always dreamt of performing before a live audience and an international adjudicating panel, now’s your chance. Perform your favourite repertoire in front of an international panel and receive written feedback from expert adjudicators. Plus, you will receive a certificate and a professionally recorded video recording of your performance.

  • Members and non-members’ students

Wherever you are in your learning journey – be it your debut, a milestone, or preparation for an audition or a competition – the Performers’ Festival celebrates the performer in you as you hone your performing skills in a supportive environment.

🎻 Highlights for String Participants

Important Note
String participants must commit to four full days (Jun 25th - 28th) to fully benefit from the immersive experience.

  • Cello Choir
  • Bach Concerto Soloist Prize: The awardee performs the 1st movement of Bach A minor or E major violin concerto with the senior string ensemble at the Gala Concert
  • String Ensembles (Junior & Senior): each ensemble will present an item at the Gala Concert

Besides individual solo performances, string participants will also participate in exciting String Ensembles. Collaborate as leaders and team players in the spirit of making music and having fun, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player.

Video Recording of Your Performance

To commemorate your special moment, participants will receive a complimentary professionally recorded video recording of their performance which may also serve as their music portfolio or for audition purposes.

(Any type of unauthorized videography, recording or photography when the festival is in session is STRICTLY not permitted so as not to interfere with the official videography.)

Certificates, Adjudicators’ Comments

For the Festival, performers will receive certificates and written constructive comments from two expert musicians. Adjudicators will also give verbal comments at the end of each group.

For Teachers: Complimentary SMTA Membership

Members enjoy complimentary 2-year membership (2027 & 2028) when they register 10 or more students.

  • To qualify, membership validity must be up to date before Festival registration.
  • New memberships approved after submitting PF registration will not qualify.
  • Member’s name cannot be added after submitting registration.
  • Membership is not transferable.
  • Sign up early for new membership for lead time for membership approval.
  • If your membership has lapsed (i.e., not renewed by Jan 31st), please reapply as a new member (Entrance Fee applies).

Platinum and Gold recipients’ names and their teachers’ names will be announced on SMTA website.
