We’re excited to announce the biennial 9th Singapore Performers’ Festival 2026 taking place during the June school holidays. Mark your calendar and be ready for an immersive celebration of music-making and performance excellence.

🎹🎻 Calling all Pianists and String Players!

If you love music and have always dreamt of performing before a live audience and an international adjudicating panel, now’s your chance. Perform your favourite repertoire in front of an international panel and receive written feedback from expert adjudicators. Plus, you will receive a certificate and a professionally recorded video recording of your performance.

Our Open Doors! Who can join?

  • Anyone, no age limit!
  • Members and non-members’ students

Wherever you are in your learning journey – be it your debut, a milestone, or preparation for an audition or a competition – the Performers’ Festival celebrates the performer in you as you hone your performing skills in a supportive environment.

Piano

Solo, ensemble (1 piano, 4, 6 or 8 hands)

Violin, viola, cello

  • Award levels: Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze
  • PF scholarships (students of SMTA members)
  • Churen Prize for Young Musicians – celebrating Singapore piano works specially commissioned for 9th PF 2026
  • Dennis Lee Prize for Outstanding Debussy (for solo piano)
  • Chopin/Liszt Award (NEW!)
  • Bach Soloist Prize (for violin participants) (NEW!)

  • Individual performances
  • Masterclasses
  • Cello Choir
  • Bach Concerto Soloist Prize: The awardee performs the 1st movement of Bach A minor or E major violin concerto with the senior string ensemble at the Gala Concert
  • String Ensembles (Junior & Senior): each ensemble will present an item at the Gala Concert

Besides individual solo performances, string participants will also participate in exciting String Ensembles. Collaborate as leaders and team players in the spirit of making music and having fun, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player.
